Language & Literature
This stream introduces students to the varied and rewarding careers that a degree in the arts from a leading institution like King’s can lead to. Students on this steam are taught by passionate academics on subject areas that range from how modern languages are used in literature, the way poetry can be used as a weapon and how sound is used in film.
This year, the National Literacy Trust delivered a careers session for our language and literature students, which gave them the opportunity to explore how reading initiatives are used to support communities across the UK. They also provided useful information on how to get started in a career in the arts and charity sector. Our Literature and Language stream students also enjoyed workshops delivered by Penguin Random House and Harper Collins. This was a fantastic chance to learn all about the world of publishing, as well as the different routes into what is a very competitive industry.
This subject stream is ideal for students interested in: English Languages and Literature, Modern Foreign Languages, Comparative Literature, Classics, Latin American studies, Liberal Arts, Film
