Dentistry
King’s College London ranks number one in the world for Dentistry teaching (2020), meaning K+ has excellent resources available for our students interested in studying Dentistry. Students on this stream gain a fantastic grounding in practical skills, such as suturing, as well as exposure to university-style teaching through taster lectures and the completion of an academic project with the support of a PhD tutor. Previous examples of academic project topics include the role of stem cells in new approaches to dental treatments and erosive tooth-wear.
The Dentistry stream also offers valuable experience for our students to draw on for university applications and access to wider employability skill sessions. Our most recent Dentistry students participated in a careers day with the opportunity to speak to dental professionals across a variety of careers such as a military dentist and a dentist working in maxillofacial surgery.
Our Dentistry stream students also receive Dentistry specific university admission guidance such as workshops to prepare them for the Multiple Mini-Interview, the UCAT and in-depth personal statement support.
This subject stream is specifically for students that are thinking about studying Dentistry at university.
